Hinduism's Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga adherents are recognizing the manifestations of Toronto/Brownsville/Lakeland "Revivals" as those of the Kundalini serpent rising through the chakras to the mind in these people.  This is none other than possession by the New Age Eastern spirits.  Bible respecters know that these manifestations are not the experiences or demonstrations of our spiritual forefathers.  In the chart below the “Revival" manifestations on the left are taken from observations and testimonies of the false revivals. These Kundalini spirits and other spirits of eastern religions have sought to enter many revivals.  In some cases the discernment of the leaders saved them. Jessie Penn-Lewis gives a report of this spirit in the Wales revival:

 

"The counterfeit of the Presence of God is mainly felt upon the body, and by the physical senses, in conscious 'fire,' 'thrills,' etc. The counterfeit of the 'Presence' in the atmosphere is felt by the senses of the body, as 'breath,' 'wind,' etc., whilst the mind is passive or inactive. The person affected by this counterfeit will be moved almost automatically to actions he would not perform of his own will, and with all his faculties in operation. He may not even remember what he has done under the 'power' of this 'presence.'" Jessie-Penn Lewis, War On the Saints, page. 153

 

"But another man had the same impulse, and fell down groaning and roaring, beating the floor with his hands and feet, and the demon entered into him as the angel of light, and got him to think that his conduct was of the Holy Ghost, and it became a regular habit in the meetings he attended. . ." Buddhism’s "Emma-O" - Lord of Hell

The news about (Bob) Jones was reported in the Olathe Daily News paper, 11/31/91. It contained that Jones admitted to sexual misconduct. He was removed from “ministry” to undergo a process of “restoration”. This news was also published in a book called “What Happened To The Fire” by Lee Grady (1994). On page 103 it states, “About a year later, after the church had become affiliated with John Wimber’s Vineyard network of churches, Jones admitted to a moral failure and was removed from his leadership position. Later, Mike Bickle stated publicly that he had promoted Jones improperly. He admitted that his church’s emphasis on prophecy and mystical experiences had been unhealthy and destructive.” Then, in another review of the Kansas City Prophets, Bill Alnor of the Christian Sentinal reported the following: “Jones, who was using his spiritual authority to induce women to disrobe for him, was removed from that church.” I have contacted Bill personally and he will be forwarding me a copy of the investigative internal report that was published directly by the leadership team at the church where this incident transpired. The Apologetics Index, which is a ministry that researches resources on cults, sects and other religious movements, doctrines and practices, also reported on the matter. They state the following, that Bob Jones “was removed from the Vineyard Anaheim because of sexual improprieties, which consisted of encouraging women to undress in his office so they could stand ‘naked before the Lord’ in order to receive a ‘word.’” In addition to this, several cult watch organizations have put him (Bob Jones) on watch for the same thing. Those are my sources concerning the sexual misconduct issue… 

 

And this is the man who Todd Bentley is listening to and who asks him about, and promotes this Angel by the name of Emma.

 

While researching this revival today, and the programs being aired at GODTV, it was noted by at least 2 people who watched a recent program that this ‘Angel’ was also being referred to by Bentley as not only ‘Emma’ but ‘Emma-O’ on occasion. Could that be a slip of the tongue on his part, or a clue to who this really is?

 

From Answers.com:  "Emma-O," derived from the Sanskrit Yama (see Yama), is the Japanese Buddhist Lord of Jigoku, or Hell (see Jigoku). Emma judges souls and places them in hells appropriate to their crimes. In this context there are a total of eight hells. These have been described by people who were for one reason or another released from punishment. The hells are a popular subject for Japanese scrolls. Emma’s primary enemy is Jizô (see Jizô), always a supporter of the dead souls against Emma and usually the victor over his dark adversary. As Jizô’s popularity has grown and Emma’s diminished, Emma has become a demon.

Regardless, if you believe there could be a connection between Bob Jones’ angel, Emma, (and Todd Bentley’s) with this false god or demon in mythology, is neither here nor there. What both these men are communicating with is a demon disguised as an Angel of God. There is not ONE iota of doubt in my mind that this is true. I’ve prayed and wept many tears before the Lord concerning this. Do not be deceived, friends; it is what it is. Ask yourself, would this Angel ‘Emma’ have helped ‘birth’ (as Jones claims) such a movement as the KCP’s which not only introduced the false notion that prophets ‘only have to be correct part of the time,’ and the other false teachings, but also produced sexual scandals within the movement?..

Let's begin with Todd’s own words:

“Now let me talk about an angelic experience with Emma. Twice Bob Jones asked me about this angel that was in Kansas City in 1980: 'Todd, have you ever seen the angel by the name of Emma?' He asked me as if he expected that this angel was appearing to me. Surprised, I said, 'Bob, who is Emma?' He told me that Emma was the angel that helped birth and start the whole prophetic movement in Kansas City in the 1980s. She was a mothering-type angel that helped nurture the prophetic as it broke out. Within a few weeks of Bob asking me about Emma, I was in a service in Beulah, North Dakota. In the middle of the service I was in conversation with Ivan and another person when in walks Emma. As I stared at the angel with open eyes, the Lord said, 'Here’s Emma.' I’m not kidding. She floated a couple of inches off the floor. It was almost like Kathryn Kuhlman in those old videos when she wore a white dress and looked like she was gliding across the platform. Emma appeared beautiful and young-about 22 years old-but she was old at the same time. She seemed to carry the wisdom, virtue and grace of Proverbs 31 on her life.

"She glided into the room, emitting brilliant light and colors. Emma carried these bags and began pulling gold out of them. Then, as she walked up and down the aisles of the church, she began putting gold dust. The Lord answered: 'She is releasing the gold, which is both the revelation and the financial breakthrough that I am bringing into this church. I want you to prophecy that Emma showed up in this service-the same angel that appeared in Kansas city-as a sign that I am endorsing and releasing a prophetic spirit in the church' on people. A further portion of the quote from Todd Bentley on Emma:

 

"Within three weeks of that visitation, (from 'Emma') the church had given me the biggest offering I had ever received to that point in my ministry. Thousands of dollars! Thousands!… During this visitation the pastor’s wife (it was an AOG church) got totally whacked by the Holy Ghost - she began running around barking like a dog or squawking like a chicken as a powerful prophetic spirit came on her. Also, as this prophetic anointing came on her, she started getting phone numbers of complete strangers and calling them up on the telephone and prophesying over them… Then angels started showing up in the church.”

 

Now ask yourself, is that REALLY evidence of the God of the Bible?

 

I also know we were warned more than once to beware of false prophets:  “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not” 2 Peter 2:1-3

 

 

 

Please Ask God About the Revival

I emailed you for your discernment (of the revival) and the email did not go through.  Then I asked God and I had a dream. I saw a lit cigarette on my fingers and smoke around me.  I looked at that cigarette in shock and said, "What am I, as a child of God, doing with this cigarette in my hand?" At that very moment the fire on the cigarette was put out and I threw that cigarette away.  That was when I knew that this revival was a deception.  Only after seeing this on that morning, I sent you that email to ask for your discernment and the Lord showed you that it was connected to Toronto/Brownsville revival.  I had no knowledge of this.  So God gives His true children discernment and protection from the devil. (Note from David: Cigarette smoking represents partaking of unclean spirits. "Breath" in Hebrew is the word for spirit.  This revival is an invasion of dirty, unclean breath or spirits.)

Spirits from the East Burn with "Fire" the Fruit of God's People, and America

Friends, I have had much experience with the after-effects of Toronto, Brownsville and many spin-offs like Lakeland.  I went to the Brownsville Revival when it first started, which was only two miles from my house.  Through discerning of spirits I saw demons being imparted and demons in the evangelist.  I love God's people who have fallen into this apostasy.  I have cast out many spirits from these victims and, sadly, not always with lasting success.  Some were ignorant and innocent who kept their deliverance but some were given over to this because of sin and rebellion against the Word.  {2 Thes.2:9} [even he], whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, {10} and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: {12} that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

 

God's people are being destroyed by spirits of Eastern religions

 

I was told many years ago by the Lord, "I will move the Sauls out of the way to make room for the Davids." I learned that He wasn't speaking of a physical death of these leaders so much as a spiritual death such as happened to the Pharisees and Sadducees before Jesus came to the throne of David over spiritual Israel.  Saul and his followers are dying on Mt. Gilboa at the hands of their old man, symbolized by the Philistines.  This is happening to make room for the anointing of David in a modern-day first-fruits company in whom Jesus lives.

 

When I was thinking on the spirits of eastern religions that are invading the U.S. and Christianity through false leaders and their false revivals, the Lord said to me, "Look up the scriptures that speak of the "east wind."  At that time I was reminded that the Hebrew Word translated "wind" in scriptures is "ruwach," which I found to be translated three times more often as "spirit" and "spirits."  So when we translate the same Hebrew word as "spirits," a whole new understanding comes forth.  I found a clear connection in the verses that use this word when preceded with the word "EAST."  In them the EAST SPIRITS causes the FIRE to burn up the apostate people of God and their fruit. Fire! Fire! Fire! Or More! More! More! Or Bam! are revival mantras to call up the eastern spirits or demons.  {Lev.10:1} And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before Jehovah, which he had not commanded them. {2} And there came forth fire from before Jehovah, and devoured them, and they died before Jehovah.  Also seen in these EAST SPIRITS scriptures is a cause for the destruction of America.

 

{Hos.12:1} Ephraim (the Church) feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind (spirits): he continually multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria (the beast kingdom), and oil (anointing) is carried into Egypt (the world).  In type, Ephraim here represents the Church because he was the second son of Joseph, who was the clearest type of Jesus in the Bible. He was sold into bondage by his brothers, lied about by the harlot, and was thrown into prison.  Here, like Jesus, he preached to the spirits in prison, some of whom went up and some down.  Then he was resurrected out of prison to be Lord over all. Ephraim, the Church, received the double-portion inheritance from Jesus that should have been given to firstborn, Manasseh, who represents Israel, which refused the inheritance (Gen.48:17-19). God said, “Israel is my son, my firstborn” (Ex.4:22).  Ephraim was called a “multitude (Hebrew: fullness) of nations” because they represented the Church of all nations. The Church is the Father’s second born (born again) son who received the double-portion that Israel, the firstborn, should have received but rejected.  Now we see in this verse that the church is feeding on these eastern spirits and making a covenant with their fleshly beast as the true anointing is swallowed up in bondage to the world.

 

We also see in the text that the church in general will be painfully delivered of a mature man-child but will not individually bear the fruit of Christ to be a part of that first-fruits company.  {Hos.13:12} The iniquity of Ephraim (the Church) is bound up; his sin is laid up in store. {13} The sorrows of a travailing woman (the Church) shall come upon him (to birth the man-child company of Revelation 12): he is an unwise son; for it is time he should not tarry in the place of the breaking forth of children. (They waited too late to bear the personal fruit of Christ to be in this first-fruits company.) {14} I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O Sheol, where is thy destruction? (God will save the repentant among them through tribulation.) repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. (How is this destruction coming to them?) {15} Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind (spirits) shall come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness; and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain (of living waters; the Word) shall be dried up: he shall make spoil of the treasure of all goodly vessels.  (In the "revivals" it is plainly seen that the Word, which is their source of life, is no longer spoken.) {16} Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.  (Samaria was the northern 10 tribes who worshipped the golden calf and after the captivity the beast brought in non-Israelites to take God's covenant there.)

 

{Jer.18:15} For my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to false [gods]; and they have been made to stumble in their ways, in the ancient paths (They are departing from the paths laid down by the scriptures), to walk in bypaths, in a way not cast up; {16} to make their land an astonishment, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and shake his head. (The eastern spirits are driving the apostates from their spiritual land of promise into desolation.  This is proven by the fruits of these revivals.) {17} I will scatter them as with an east wind (spirits) before the enemy (They are being scattered before the demons of eastern religions.); I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity. {18} Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah (These apostates will, like their spiritual forefathers the Pharisees, attack the true prophet and type of the man-child.); for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet (The reason for their hatred of them is the Word they speak and live.).

 

{Isa.27:7} Hath he smitten them (Israel) as he smote those that smote them? or are they slain according to the slaughter of them that were slain by them? {8} In measure, when thou sendest them away, thou dost contend with them; he hath removed [them] with his rough blast in the day of the east wind (spirits). (This represents the removing of some apostates through the eastern spirits while contending with a measure of others to separate a true church from their midst.) {9} Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, [so that] the Asherim (Mariolatry) and the sun-images (false Jesus') shall rise no more. (The Lord will cleanse His people of "another Jesus" and his mother, as the religious kingdoms of men are deserted by the righteous.) {10} For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation deserted and forsaken, like the wilderness (Rev.12:6;17:3 = seven year tribulation): there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. {11} When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women (apostate sects) shall come, and set them on fire (The false fire of the apostates' golden calf will consume those who are "broken off" of the olive tree of New Testament spiritual Israel in tribulation [Rom.11:20-22]); for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will show them no favor. 

 

{Isa.2:6} For thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they are filled [with customs] from the east, and [are] soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with the children of foreigners.  (One of the eastern spirits imparted in these revivals and those who have come from them is divination or false prophecy.)

 

{Eze.19:10} Thy mother (Israel, a type of the church) was like a vine, in thy blood, planted by the waters: it was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters. {11} And it had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and their stature was exalted among the thick boughs, and they were seen in their height with the multitude of their branches. (The once glorious church ruled over her enemies but now there is a great falling away to the enemy.) {12} But it was plucked up in fury, it was cast down to the ground, and the east wind (spirits) dried up its fruit: its strong rods were broken off and withered; the fire consumed them. (The apostates among them have had their fruit burned up by the false fire of the eastern spirits.) {13} And now it is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty land. {14} And fire is gone out of the rods of its branches, it hath devoured its fruit, so that there is in it no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.  (Because of their sins they cannot stand before these spirits.)

 

Because of his rebellion against God, Jonah was smitten of the eastern spirits by Him and fainted, wanting to die.  {Jonah 4:8} And it came to pass, when the sun arose, that God prepared a sultry east wind (spirits); and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and requested for himself that he might die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.

 

The U.S. is destroyed by spirits of Eastern religions

 

As a type of the U.S. and her apostate Christians, Babylon, who was the "great eagle" in Ezekiel 17, made a covenant with the people of God who had rebelled against God's covenant [verse19].  For this they were withered with the eastern spirits.  {Eze.17:10} Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind (spirits) toucheth it? it shall wither in the beds where it grew.

 

A lamentation was spoken over Tyre, as a type of the U.S., who is broken and sunk in the heart of the seas by Eastern spirits.  We are not just speaking of the moon god of Islam but that which is infecting the spiritual strength of the U.S., its "spirit-filled" Christians. {Eze.27:25} The ships of Tarshish were thy caravans for thy merchandise: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the heart of the seas. {26} Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind (spirits) hath broken thee in the heart of the seas. {27} Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the dealers in thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin. Notice that what was spoken of Tyre are almost quotes of what was spoken of Babylon in Revelation 18 and the rest of Ezekiel 27 is even more so.

 

Tyre is another type of Babylonish U.S.  Tyre was compared to Babylon, the great eagle at the head of the nations, in its destruction. (Isa.23:1) The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in…. (13) Behold, the land of the Chaldeans: this people was not; the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness; they set up their towers; they overthrew the palaces thereof; they made it a ruin. (14) Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for your stronghold is laid waste. The parallels between Tyre, Babylon and the U.S. are too numerous to mention. All are the dominant, extremely rich, centers of trade in their time. The two common texts that speak of the fall of Satan depict him ruling the world as the king of Tyre (Ezk.28:12-17) and the king of Babylon (Isa.14:4,12-15). Now I ask you, who rules Babylonish U.S. as the head of the nations? Satan is the “god of this world.”

           

Tyre is said to be “in the heart of the seas” (Ezk.27:4,27). Natural Tyre was in the Mediterranean sea (singular) next to the coast, not “in the heart.” Spiritual Tyre, the U.S., is “in the heart of the seas” (plural). Tyre was occupied by Christian Crusaders in 1124 A.D. and later conquered by Muslims in 1291 A.D., and so it will be with the U.S. Both are isles north and west of Israel, which were thought impregnable due to their naval power and position in the sea. Tyre imposed her dominance by her merchant ships of Tarshish. The U.S. has imposed her dominance by the “merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof” (Ezk.38:13). Britain’s national symbol is the lion, and her English-speaking “young lions” are, of course, the U.S., Canada and Australia, along with the other commonwealth nations.

           

As Alexander the Great conquered Tyre with 120 warships, so the prophets have foretold that Russia and the U.N. would conquer the U.S. with a great armada of warships. Sidon was the center of the Phoenician Empire and colonized Tyre (Isa.23:2,12), just as Britain was the center of the British Empire and colonized the U.S. Geographically, Tyre is south and west of Sidon, just as the U.S. is south and west of Britain. Just as Sidon was superseded in world dominance by Tyre, its offspring, so was Britain by the U.S., its offspring. Compare God’s statement about Babylon (“For thus saith the Lord, After seventy (seven) years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you…” (Jer.29:10)) with His statement about Tyre (“And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy (seven) years, that the Lord will visit Tyre” (Isa.23:17).) Notice that both Babylon and Tyre were visited after 70 years by the Lord, just as the U.S. will be after seven years, “and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth” (Isa.23:17). Also, both Babylon and Tyre were harlots having relations with “all the kingdoms of the world,” clearly making them a type of end-time Babylonish U.S. All three are destroyed for their harlotry.  The U.S. has, as a harlot, received the foreign seed and spirits of the nations for which God will sink her.

 

The effects of the false anointing from these revivals is not experienced at first.  This anointing is like a Trojan horse -- it was thought to be a gift from God but the enemy is hidden inside, waiting for darkness to come out and open the doors for more invading demons to conquer the unsuspecting. If you have become convinced that something is wrong with this movement and your experience you can be free.  Jesus paid for this:  {Col.1:13} who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love...  Many spirits can eventually invade, including Kundalini, Hindu, Emma-O, Buddhism, Jezebel, Divination, Witchcraft, Pride, Lust, Greed, Self Will, etc., and the spirits of the sins of our youth before we knew the Lord.  I suggest you repent of known sin and any unforgiveness; that you renounce any cooperation in the revivals or persons from them who laid hands on you.  Gather true Spirit-filled friends around you and command these spirits and any others you all discern to go in Jesus' Name.  He is faithful to deliver.  Then find some holy associations.

Kundalini Awakening Received Through Toronto

Perhaps some thoughts shared by someone who has actually come away from the "Toronto" movement after being "lock, stock & barrel" into it would help others who are saying to themselves, "These people who are so negative about this have not experienced it first-hand." We live in Southern California and were part of the mainstream Vineyard church here, and also a smaller vineyard church closer to us.

My husband and I were desperate for God and at the end of everything in our lives when we came to the local vineyard. We soon heard about renewal meetings in Anaheim and began attending twice a week. My first impression was that these folks were a bit bizarre, but being, as I said, quite desperate for God to intervene in our lives, we "stuck around." We were at the "Let the Fire Fall" conference in 1994 when John Wimber had John Arnot came and preached at the conference. I witnessed and was part of all the manifestations that have been described. I must say that it had been so long since I had "felt" anything, emotional or otherwise, toward the Lord that, even though the outward looked so weird, my hunger kept me returning.

The vineyard was holding renewal meetings twice a week led by one of their pastors who had been to Toronto personally. We had to drive an hour one way to attend but did so usually for both meetings. The pastor would teach for a short period and we would move chairs away for ministry time. After attending renewal meetings for a couple months I began to notice some things that the pastor was saying did not make sense to me. He began to tell us that he did not want to "encourage" outward manifestations. The jerking, roaring, etc. Yet when ministry time came he would call forward the people who were on the outside "manifesting" the strongest. The ones that could hardly walk were shaking so hard; those were the ones who were called to the front and ministered to in front of us all. This happened while I was there several times.

Well, I can tell you first-hand what this did to my family and people that I knew. People began to seek the manifestations. At first I was one of the ones who would usually fall and just weep unstoppable tears. I believe the Lord did give me repentance, as my life had been so miserable. The tears came and cleansing did happen. But as the pastor kept calling those forward who were jerking and shaking and wanting "more" I began to seek, unwittingly, what I believe now were "other gods" -- the gods of experience, for example. Not that God can't give experiences that are wonderful but each has to be measured by His Word. There was very little of this at the renewal meetings. I will tell you I personally had people lay hands and pray for me from the large ministry team of Anaheim. I was "open" to all of it. In the end, my simple joy of feeling His cleansing presence became a hunger for the next big "wow." I was shaken, baked, drunk, laughed till I could not move. Roared, swooned, labored as in childbirth, etc. For me, until the end of this (which I'll explain later), these experiences were wonderful. I felt new, alive; but I was not being honest with myself at how these things were taking the place of my relationship with God. People were getting saved; although not the throngs I kept hearing about in other places, there were healings. I must say at this point that during all the time I attended renewal meetings regularly for over a year, not once did a person challenge any manifestation or spirit according to the scripture. I personally received training to be on the large ministry team at our local vineyard (which used the teaching materials from the Anaheim Vineyard).

I was never advised to "test the spirits" according to scripture. Let's be honest here. When someone is frozen to the ground, the only breath coming is between loud cries, roars, whatever; that seems like it would be a good time to challenge the spirit of this... I never saw it done or even heard of it done, even as I began to minister to others as part of the team. To us, some manifestations were obviously demonic and we used "discernment" to detect and then pray for deliverance; these manifestations being nausea, vomiting, obvious torment, etc. When I myself was roaring, laughing, shaking or crying, no one ever challenged any of it. I was not in any kind of torment while experiencing these manifestations; it was great. I never saw anyone else appear to experience torment while experiencing these things. So I blundered on, ignoring scripture. Then I attended a prophetic conference at Mott Auditorium, the Vineyard of Pasadena. I did notice that things were "cranked up" a bit more than usual but you have to remember I was used to all this and it was normal to me. During the ministry time one of the speakers (from Kansas City) began to "shoot arrows in the spirit" at us. He made the sound of an arrow shooting -- "whoosh!" -- as he told us to receive what God's angels had for us. He said, "It's ok to paint a target for where you want the arrow to hit you." Myself, having suffered from serious childhood hurts, began to place my hand on my heart and cry out to God. Suddenly I could hardly stand, but this was not the drunk kind of swoon I had experienced before; this was painful. I ached all over, as if I was coming apart inside. I wanted to sit down and catch my breath but at that very moment the speaker called out "Take it," so I forced myself to stand upright. A feeling of anguish came over me that was awful and indescribable. After the prayer time was over I felt as if I could move and walk about but the thought came to me to go over in between the chairs and just lay down for a while. I questioned my own motives for this, as the conference was over and my family was waiting for me to go home. I went in between the chairs and laid face down on the cold floor. Soon I was frozen to the floor. I could not have gotten up if I had wanted to. I could not speak, as people are accustomed to this -- as I also had been accustomed to this. Outwardly it seemed like just another person "slain in the spirit" but inwardly I felt different; there was a great element of fear involved this time. I began to really want to get up but could not. After some time I was able to move and get up to go home. The next 10 days were so incredibly bizarre I have difficulty describing what happened. I will say that there were some very bizarre "impulses" being hurled at my spirit, as to the like I had never experienced. I began to wonder if someone had put speed into my drinking water during the conference, as I could not sleep. This was not the night watches of the Lord during the sleeplessness; it was fearful and oppressive. Part of the reason I had embraced this movement was the seeming knowledge of the prophetic, now my gifting seemed to turn on me as I experienced terrifying feelings and apparitions. During this time the Lord brought a leader to us who was not into the Toronto movement but was a very prophetic person. I was desperate, as even the leaders we had been involved with abandoned us. The vineyard pastor from the renewal meetings was just "too busy" and the local vineyard pastor was upset at us for spending too much time in Anaheim, so he basically had no time for us either. I mean my husband was begging for help. I was flipping out, running all over the desert, and they have no time?

I will say God is faithful. The servant he sent us was a true shepherd. He told me I had a run-in with Kundalini spiritism. THIS MAN HAD NOT EVEN HEARD OF THE TORONTO MOVEMENT. Yes, that is true; there are people whom God is using who do not even know about TORONTO. He told me, "Someone has opened up a 'third eye in you for sight into the demonic spirit realm.' This servant of God prayed the blood of Jesus over me and had some serious prayer and warfare in my behalf. I was delivered from those tormenting spirits by the blood of the Lord Jesus but my healing and restoration has been a matter of walking with Him. I was so trapped in the instant fix mode from the renewal that I could never have seen the value in the daily walk with the Lord.

What frightens me about the Toronto movement is that these people, as I was, are sincerely deceived. The spiritual realm is the realm of warfare. How can we approach this without the covering of His Word, His battle plan? How can we ignore what He has told us in scripture and glorify experience or ANYTHING above His name and what He has given us in Him? Now folks, be honest. Continually bringing people on stage or onto the alter, wildly manifesting, does distract from thinking about the Lord Jesus; it's, 'Wow, look at that' and 'Wow, feel this... feel, feel, feel.'

I must testify to His protection, in spite of being involved in this, as there were several situations during those 10 days I could easily have died. Doing over 90 mph on the freeways, weaving in and out of traffic is just one example. I also testify to the protection of much more than my body. He has also redeemed my spirit from what was a plot to kill it. I believe God did see our hearts and that we were sincere in our search for Him but we definitely fell into the wrong place. Perhaps if anyone is reading this who is part of a church that is embracing the Toronto movement, I beg of you to go to the Word and do not ignore what He is saying to you through His word. 1 John says to test the spirits to see if they are of God; you are not insulting God to do this. He says to do it.

It was a breath of fresh air for me to hear there were prophetic people who were not swallowing everything in the Toronto river. I am glad myself and my family were plucked out before drowning there.
 

Warning About Revival Videos

I just want to share a warning with you all about watching the videos of this thing on the Internet and of watching the videos of those things related to it. Also of listening to the worship music.  Even of videos and music and such from people associated with this that are of the same spirit. 
 
I know a brother who was having serious spiritual attacks the day after he watched a video of the revival and spoke against this, and they persisted, until he prayed and broke the demonic curses and they left instantly. 
 
Also, last night a dark presence came upon my house after watching a video. As soon as we prayed, it went away. And then I knew there was truly something there. 
 
A brother here also had the same thing happen to him last night after watching these videos. He said a dark presence and a wicked spirit entered his house and he and his wife both discerned it and commanded it out and it left and that he too has been warned not to watch these things any more. 
 
There is something really powerful at work here and it's something that the Word of Faith preachers haven't even fully tapped into. 
 
Saints, be careful of these videos. I have personally had my severe warning from the Lord not to watch them anymore, and these other two brothers have also. There is more than just words in conflict here; this is a conflict of spirits. So be warned, and be covered with the blood of Jesus! If you must watch them for the purpose of discernment, and for speaking against it specifically as is profitable for the souls of men, then be covering yourself in prayer for protection as you do. And when you're done, break all curses over you and command any evil spirit to depart from your midst! 
 
For those of you who have been watching it, and have embraced it and are accepting everything that comes from this move and from Todd Bentley, I believe you are potentially in serious trouble and you really need to seek the Lord to open your eyes and renounce everything that is not directly from the Spirit of God. 
 
Matt replies: Just chiming in to say I agree with you wholeheartedly. I've only watched 6 minutes of one video and had to turn it off. I felt the Holy Spirit warn me not to ever watch again. His words to me were, "Don't allow this into your home." After some prayer, I know this is truly a Word from the Lord.

Q:  Public utterance in tongues -- is it supposed to actually mean something?

A:  According to Paul, yes, and it's assumed to be prophetic. 

In fact, before Todd gave these utterances, he actually prayed that he would prophesy (see clip, starting at the 10 sec mark)

"There are perhaps a great many kinds of languages in the world, and no kind is without meaning."

(I Cor.14:10)

"If I come to you speaking in tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation or of knowledge or of prophecy or of teaching?" (I Cor.14:6)

"Let all things be done for edification.... If there is no interpreter, let him [who speaks in a tongue] keep silent." (I Cor.14:26, 28)

Q:  Is it necessary to understand a prophecy given in tongues?

A:  According to Paul, yes -- and not just to understand it, but also to test it.

"If anyone speaks in a tongue, it should be by two or at the most three, and each in turn, and let one interpret." (I Cor.14:27)

"And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass judgment.... and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; for G-d is not a God of confusion but of peace..." (I Cor.14:29, 32-33)

 

Q: Can Todd Bentley's tongue actually be understood?

A: Yes, because it is clear and deliberate.

"Unless you utter by the tongue speech that is clear, how will it be known what is spoken?"  (I Cor.14:9)

So it CAN "be known what is spoken", IF we can pinpoint what language it is.

NOTE: many of the words in this clip, and other words Todd Bentley is known to shout out when he lays hands on people, can be found in a Sanskrit dictionary. 

Q:  Why Sanskrit?  What made you even think of looking in a Sanskrit dictionary?

A: Sanskrit is the holy tongue of Hinduism, and it's the language used in "giving Shaktipat".... which is what Todd Bentley appears to be doing in his "impartations." See the comparison later.

Q:  So, assuming the words are Sanskrit, what is he saying over these people?

A: Here is a list, based on the above clip.  I could not catch everything - these were the clearest.

- The word in "quotes" is the phonetic word on the clip, in the order they occur in the video.  You can check my accuracy by listening to the clip yourself.

Bit No. 2:  About SHAKTIPAT (Hindu impartation ceremony)

Summary:

1. "Shaktipat" is Sanskrit for "descent of grace."  That "grace" is released by "kundalini" (defined in Hinduism as "an intelligent force" coiled like a snake at the base of the spine, related to the god Shiva). 

"Diksha" is "initiation" into a new path of enlightenment, which is usually the occasion for receiving Shaktipat.

2. Shaktipat is "given" by a guru, someone possessing divine powers to trigger initiation and unlock the kundalini force.  It can be given any of the following ways:

- by a touch (usually on the "third eye" - the forehead - or one of the "chakras" - top of head, throat, chest, solar plexis, base of spine).

- by a specially chosen word (spoken in Sanskrit)

- by a deep look into the eyes

- by blowing on someone

- by "remote" (out of body visitations from the guru)

- and these days, it can be done electronically (by following instructions while watching a video)

3. Shaktipat is considered "contagious"  - it can spread through a crowd as the guru passes, it can be carried and passed by touch from one disciple to another, it can be passed by objects the guru has touched, or it can be sent by "remote" through reproduced videos, trance-inducing music, etc.

4. For Shaktipat to be "received", it doesn't require conscious cooperation or agreement, only "surrender" to the influence.  Kundalini is understood to take over the one receiving this experience.

5. The evidence of receiving Shaktipat is the appearance of "kriyas" - involuntary jerking, falling, laughing and/or shaking.  Some have experienced retching and gagging.  Other evidences known to happen, and considered normal:

- visions

- animal or other inarticulate noises

- being healed of diseases

- intense positive emotions that leave them incoherent

- spontaneous yoga postures (especially bowing to the floor)

- spontaneous speaking in tongues (usually Sanskrit) 

Someone who has their kundalini awakened is regarded as "on fire," and to spread that awakening is to "ignite" others.  The fire (called "tummo") is regarded as the source of healings.

Shaktipat is admitted by Hindus to be potentially harmful.  Kundalini is considered a very powerful force, and if it is not properly "controlled" it can cause sickness, madness or death.  Shiva (sometimes also called "Siva") is the god of destruction and is worshiped from fear.

What is shaktipat?

''Shakti'' is another word for kundalini and ''pat'' means to descend. Shaktipat is a method by which an individual's kundalini is awakened by the direct intervention of a guru. There are several varieties of shaktipat depending on the facility of the guru and the receptiveness of the disciple.

 

There are also a variety of mechanisms for conveying shaktipat. These include: by glance, by word or mantra, by touch or simply by intention.

 

Who can give shaktipat?

...in theory ''anyone on fire'' can give shaktipat, i.e. anyone who's kundalini is already awakened.

 

Can one receive shaktipat just by being in the presence of those with awakened shakti?

There is no doubt that shakti is contagious. The mere presence of a single being whose shakti is strongly active can awaken the shakti of those around him. Similarly being in the presence of many people whose shakti is awakened to some degree can awaken one's own shakti.

 

The unique perspective of Siddha Mahayoga is that because kundalini is an intelligent force it will, upon awakening, naturally direct the practice of the student. All that is required is that the student completely surrender to this force. As a result of kundalini's unfoldment spontaneous purifying movements, called kriyas will occur.

 

What are kriyas?

Kriyas, literally ''activities'', are spontaneous movements that occur after kundalini awakening. These include bodily activities such as trembling, shaking and spontaneous yoga postures; vocal activities such as yelling, or spontaneous chanting and mental activities such as visions. These kriyas eliminate the blocks to kundalini rising within the spine or central channel.

Tummo Fire is Tibetan, also known as gtummo, the inner fire. In practice, you use the tummo fire much the same as Reiki or therapeutic touch, but no drawing symbols.

 

This type of tummo is specific to the process of healing and clearing the emotional blockages of karma, enhancing and smoothing the process of Kundalini, and paving the road to enlightenment.Tummo initiation is a very powerful type of shaktipat that can smooth and accelerate the process in a very safe and easy way.

 

Tummo is the clear light, heat that burns away the emotional blockages, etc. that are at the root of illness. Tummo fire is related to Kundalini heat. It is based in the solar plexus, but can show up anywhere in the body, burning off karma.

 

When the fire is active, it reduces the need for emotional release.

 

Tummo fire can also be transmitted by remote.

 

 At the end of the initiation, the power is put under the guidance of your unconscious/spirit, which directs it to where it needs to be. It can also be directed consciously.

What is new here: Todd's self-control has disintegrated, and his body is manifesting Kriyas almost continually.  Also it's spreading to his assistants.   And all reverence for G-d is gone, replaced by "come and get some!" in a mocking, drunken tone.

She gets healed.... sees "Jesus"... has spiritual visits from her guru for further healing.... feels peace... sees orbs of light.

Talk about "orbs of light"...Todd Bentley unable to read from his Bible - every time he tried, he became "drunk" or incoherent or could not stop laughing.

2- Todd's own account of spiritual (out of body) visits to Australia (see video clip from Bit No. 1, starting mark 1:00) and also Europe (starting mark 5:50).

He tells of a woman in England who claims he "visited" her and healed her (mark 8:20), and of similar cases in Canada (starting mark 8:40).

A pause for some relevant questions:

Q:  Isn't it true that Satan just copies G-d's holy things?  Why should we throw out a move of G-d just because there are similar "copycat" things on the other side?

A:  There are some things defined in Scripture as ORIGINATING on Satan's side, and we are commanded to "not do likewise."  Prominent among those forbidden things are occult practices and ways of worship:

"...do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?'  You shall not behave thus toward the L-rd your God..."(Deut.12:30-31).

 

Q: Can't we just sift out the junk and keep what is truly from G-d?  The scripture does say, "Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good"  (I Thess.5:19-21).

A: Yes, and it goes on to say, "Abstain from every form of evil." (v.22).  This applies particularly to the things used by idol worshipers, where we are forbidden to salvage even the raw gold and silver that were originally part of an idol (Deut.7:25).

Regarding "prophetic utterances," when we "examine everything carefully" that is coming from Todd Bentley, how much is there left "to hold fast to"?

One immediate example:

Todd predicted (Bit No.1 video, starting at mark 4:30) "a great move of G-d" with "hundreds of ministries with power, miracles, signs and wonders" that would carry revival to Indonesia, Malaysia and Southeast Asia.  He gave a timetable: "in the next 12 to 14 months."

That was said in July 2004.  Search on the Internet for some report that a "revival" of that magnitude came to (or went out from) any of those countries in 2005... or 2006... or 2007.  If it didn't happen, scripture says we are not to take him seriously as a prophet (Deut.18:22).

A second example:

Todd prophesied at that time about seeing "a tidal wave" hitting Malaysia.  Here is the direct quote:

"I saw an open vision of a tidal wave of revival hitting Malaysia. I'm telling you it's coming within the next 12 to 14 months. Things are about to break out in Malaysia... our team is going there in December." (see the video, starting mark 4:52 ).

On December 26, 2004, a LITERAL tidal wave hit Malaysia.  At the Fresh Fire Prophetic Conference in April 2005, his prophecy was revised accordingly, as a form of "judgment."

"Referring to a prophetic word he delivered in July, 2004 about a tsunami wave hitting S.E. Asia, Todd said that the church was now entering a season in which judgment would continue to hit the earth."

Q: How could anyone do real miracles in the Lord's name, and the Lord would not be behind it?  Yeshua said we can't gather good fruit from a bad tree. (Matt.7:18)

A:  Right after Yeshua's teaching about knowing them by their fruits (and He was speaking about prophets - see v.15), He warns us of "MANY" who will prophesy in His name and "perform many miracles" as well (v.22-23). 

 

Our problem is that we have redefined "good fruit" as "results," when He had already defined it as "doing the will of My Father" (v.21).  We have heard "these words" of Yeshua and not acted on them (see v.26), and we are about to see a major collapse throughout the Lord's Body (v.27).

Bit No. 4: Todd Bentley's tattoos

There are a lot of discussions about what they are and what they mean, but I am skipping that part, because:

1- Tattoos of any kind are questionable for believers.  For those who don't feel bound by Torah commands, there is the NT teaching that our bodies are Temples of G-d and we are not our own.  For Israelis and Jews, there is the added connection of the Nazi practice of tattooing both Jews and Aryans, which is disturbing.

2- Trying to decipher and interpret the tattoos is inconclusive, and this has distracted many people, causing them to miss the much clearer problem of his occult practices and false prophecies.

EMMA, ANGEL OF THE PROPHETIC

 

Now let me talk about an angelic experience with Emma. Twice Bob Jones asked me about this angel that was in Kansas City in 1980: "Todd, have you ever seen the angel by the name of Emma?" He asked me as if he expected that this angel was appearing to me. Surprised, I said, "Bob, who is Emma?" He told me that Emma was the angel that helped birth and start the whole prophetic movement in Kansas City in the 1980s. She was a mothering-type angel that helped nurture the prophetic as it broke out. Within a few weeks of Bob asking me about Emma, I was in a service in Beulah, North Dakota. In the middle of the service I was in conversation with Ivan and another person when in walks Emma. As I stared at the angel with open eyes, the Lord said, "Here's Emma." I'm not kidding. She floated a couple of inches off the floor. It was almost like Kathryn Khulman in those old videos when she wore a white dress and looked like she was gliding across the platform. Emma appeared beautiful and young-about 22 years old-but she was old at the same time. She seemed to carry the wisdom, virtue and grace of Proverbs 31 on her life.

 

She glided into the room, emitting brilliant light and colors. Emma carried these bags and began pulling gold out of them. Then, as she walked up and down the aisles of the church, she began putting gold dust on people. "God, what is happening?" I asked. The Lord answered: "She is releasing the gold, which is both the revelation and the financial breakthrough that I am bringing into this church. I want you to prophecy that Emma showed up in this service-the same angel that appeared in Kansas city-as a sign that I am endorsing and releasing a prophetic spirit in the church." See, when angels come, they always come for a reason; we need to actually ask God what the purpose is. Within three weeks of that visitation, the church had given me the biggest offering I had ever received to that point in my ministry. Thousands of dollars! Thousands! Even though the entire community consisted of only three thousand people, weeks after I left the church the pastor testified that the church offerings had either doubled or tripled.

 

During this visitation the pastor's wife (it was an AOG church) got totally whacked by the Holy Ghost- she began running around barking like a dog or squawking like a chicken as a powerful prophetic spirit came on her. Also, as this prophetic anointing came on her, she started getting phone numbers of complete strangers and calling them up on the telephone and prophesying over them. She would tell them that God gave her their telephone number and then would give them words of knowledge. Complete strangers. Then angels started showing up in the church.

 

I believe Emma released a financial and prophetic anointing in that place. That was the first angel that I have ever seen in the form of a woman. Some angels I've seen seemed like they were neither male nor female. However, Emma appeared as a woman who was like a Deborah, like a mother in Zion. When she came, she began to mentor, nurture and opened up a prophetic well. The people in the church began having trances and visions and the pastor began getting words of knowledge and moving in healing. That congregation also saw more financial breakthrough than they had ever seen before.

TODD BENTLEY'S MENTORS

Bob Jones:  Kansas City prophetic ministry, and throughout the 1980s considered one of their most gifted prophets.  He is credited with predicting the "outbreak" of the 1994 Toronto "blessing", ten years earlier.  [see http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/05/11/prophey-bob-jones-role-in-toronto-blessing-brownsville-lakeland-what-comes-next-civil-war-in-the-church/]

In 2003, Jones introduced Todd Bentley to "Emma", who they both say had fueled the Kansas City 'revival' as well. (see Bit No.6 above for Emma, see below for KC). He has gone on record proclaiming Bentley's ministry as a "third wave" of revival.

Jones was removed from his prophetic post in 1991 after admitting to sexual misconduct.

Because of Jones’ national visibility and ministry, the National Board for the Association of Vineyard Churches in Anaheim, led by John R. Wimber, issued a letter Tuesday to all of its churches explaining the incident.

“The sins for which Bob has been removed from ministry include using his gifts to manipulate people for his personal desires, sexual misconduct, rebelling against pastoral authority, slandering leaders and the promotion of bitterness within the body of Christ,” the letter stated.

The church is seeking private counseling for Jones, his wife and the two women, said Gulliksen, who will personally oversee the counseling.

“Bob will not be free to minister until he is fully recovered,” Gulliksen said. “It’s not like Jimmy Swaggert who overnight said, ‘Now I’ve sinned and I am back in charge.’”

This is the 12th incident with similar accusations against a Vineyard church leader since 1974 when Gulliksen and his wife founded the church in Los Angeles, Gulliksen said. All 12 leaders were removed and counseling was provided, and frequently paid for, by the church for the leaders and the victims, he said. After years of counseling, six of those 12 have returned to ministry positions of lesser standing.

Last night, amid the miracles of God and healings, Todd Bentley announced that prophet Paul Cain was coming to Lakeland, the first night at Tiger Town Stadium, but also possibly coming to The Lakeland Center as well.

 

Some highlights of who prophet Paul Cain is:

·         At the age of 17, Paul began to hold citywide salvation and healing campaigns in tents, civic auditoriums and churches where supernatural and documented healings took place.

·         He became one of many revivalists during the “Healing Revival” which lasted from 1947 to 1958.

·         During the great healing revival, Paul’s ministry reached international proportions. In 1954, his manager purchased the world’s largest gospel tent from Jack Coe, having a capacity to hold 8,000 people. Paul toured the country, filling it with thousands wherever he went.

 

Prophet Paul Cain runs with other powerful men of God such as Oral Roberts, William Branham, O.L. Jaggers, A.A. Allen, T.L. Osborn, Jack Coe, and Franklin Hall.

 

Paul Cain prophesied that the day would come that American believers would fill stadiums across the land. Todd Bentley, Paul Cain, Stephen Strader of Ignited Church, and many others, believe that The Florida Revival in Lakeland, Florida, especially at Tiger Town Stadium (Joker Marchant Stadium), is the beginning of the manifestation of that vision.

We strongly urged him not to leave Larry's care and oversight. However, he left Larry's oversight just over a year ago and moved to California to relate to a group of men that we do not know much about. Neither do we know the process that they say that Paul went through. Therefore, we cannot say with confidence that this is a genuine restoration that is according to the principles of God's Word...

Whether Cain has now been restored from his sexual sin is a big topic for argument -- and I believe it is a clever diversion.  The believers are always ready to exclude someone for sexual or financial sins - and we usually miss far more dangerous spiritual problems.

David Pyches, who has authored a book extolling the Kansas City prophets, recounts the early clairvoyant talent of Paul Cain:

Paul's mother, grandmother, and great grandmother had all been born with the gift of seeing. His great-grandmother would sometimes see things in broad daylight and ask her friend or family if they could see them too. If they said they could not, she would occasionally wave her hand upon them and they would immediately see the identical vision... Paul now found he was "seeing" also and would know things that were going to happen to classmates at school or were happening to absent friends. He knew simple things like who would end up with a bloody nose or who would win a race... By the age of nine "Little Brother" (as he was being affectionately referred to by adults, perhaps because it was the form of address used by the angel who spoke to him from time to time) began public preaching in a limited way....

 

On one occasion Mike Bickle had been complaining to his wife that he had "a bit of a sniffle" or a slight cold - something he rarely had - the phone rang, Bickle picked up the receiver and heard Paul on the line. He had heard about Paul's gift so he said by way of a joke, "Hi, Paul! You're all right today! How am I?" Immediately Paul answered him, "Why Mike, you've got a bit of a sniffle and you are all wet. Your hair is standing up on the left side of your head." (Bickle had just gotten out the shower). (Pyches, pgs. 24,26,29,30.

 

A friend of ours from Australia was in a public meeting in which Cain was speaking. This man had just lost his wife and Cain (with no knowledge of this man) pointed to him and told him so and proceeded to name his four sons.

 

Art Katz reported:

"That man is a prophet of God"... "He lold me secrets of my heart which no man could possibly know!" (David Pyches, Some Say It Thundered, (Oliver-Nelson: Nashville, Tn.), 1991, p.81.

 

A publisher of a famous Charismatic magazine once harbored some doubts regarding Cain. Cain later met him and proved to him that he was indeed a prophet of God. Cain then referred to a boat owned by the publisher and preceded to tell him the numbers of his boat license after which the publisher called him truly a prophet of God.

TODD BENTLEY'S ROOTS - TORONTO REVIVAL & KANSAS CITY PROPHETS

The video in Bit No. 1 was in a conference under the "Toronto Revival" covering.  The Vineyard logo is clearly visible on the stage. This tells us that (a) Todd is "practicing" these things and has not just "fallen into" them; and (b) Toronto Revival leaders have long supported these practices.

 

John Wimber: head of the Toronto Vineyard "revival", responsible for proclaiming Paul Cain as a true prophet.  He was one-upped by his Toronto associate Jack Deere, who called Cain and Jones the Two Witnesses of Revelation:

 

"You see why we're excited about someone like Paul Cain or Bob Jones coming on the scene? Or others that we 'ye met... you know those two powerful witnesses in Revelation 11:3? They are prophets. He said they will prophesy for 1,260 days. He's going to end the last days just before His Son returns with a prophetic movement that will sweep the entire face of the earth and will eclipse anything we have ever seen before..." Mike Bickle: The 3rd leader of Kansas City, who originally worked with Cain and Jones.  He wholeheartedly supported these men as true prophets. He was accused of covering for some of their prophecies that did not come to pass.

In 1983 Bob Jones made a 'prophecy' that there would be three months of drought. Mike Bickle said at the time,

"Kansas City was known as the bread-basket of the world; it was the centre of grain farming, fanning out to a radius of five hundred miles. For the whole of June there was no rain! IT was terrible! For the whole of July there was no rain! It was terrible! No rain during the first week of August or the second or the third. It was terrible! Bob Jones said that the Lord had told him it would come on 23rd August. We had all been poised since early dawn that day, but by 1 pm there was still no rain. By six o'clock we were just resigned to wait another day when suddenly it began. And did it rain? It poured! No man could have manipulated that. It just had to be God!"

 

...the pastor of a charismatic church in Kansas City... Ernest Gruen, said there was no drought! The U.S. National Weather Bureau confirms that seven inches of rain fell on Kansas City in June 1983. It rained on 12 out of thirty days - almost half the month! On just one of those days, the rainfall was seven times the rainfall on 23rd August! So, the prophecy was a lie and a fake. What is far worse, is that Bickle afterward (that is, after knowing what really happened, and after knowing the prophecy to be false) claimed it to be true.

I saw faith become a fist that punched a hole through an overcast of clouds. This was the demonic oppression over America. As the holes opened up, angels started pouring through them. The bigger the holes were, the more angels that were coming through them. They were carrying the resources of heaven that included everything we needed. Heaven is about to invade earth. This is going to cause a great distinction to develop between those who know and serve the Lord, and those who do not.

Todd Bentley did punch a hole through the darkness over Lakeland, and heaven has been pouring through the hole, and it is getting bigger. What is happening in Lakeland is stirring up the faith of many more. The "faith barometer" has begun to rise all over the body of Christ. Now many others are reaching up to do the same thing. The sizes of the holes are dependent on the size of our faith. I pray that what is happening in Lakeland keeps going and keeps growing, but what is now being released will go on regardless of how long the revival goes on in Lakeland. A fire has been started that is already too big to stop.

It's exciting to see what's happening in Lakeland. In my 32 years of covering the charismatic movement, I've never seen any "revival meeting" get so much attention so fast. Everyone, it seems, is talking about it. A long line of respected leaders have attended the meetings to see it for themselves. Most have come away saying it's a genuine move of God.

After only 50 days, someone said the revival is still a "baby." So it's not fair to pass judgment yet. That is for God to do. But at the same time, we can look at history to give us an idea of what to expect. After all, it's well known that those who don't learn the lessons of history are bound to repeat them. Lakeland Revival Miracle Healings Continue

A Solemn Prophetic Warning

Prophecy by Stanley Frodsham 1965

It is written: "Despise not prophesying. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good" (I Thessalonians 5.-20,21 KIV). The following are excerpts from prophetic words given to one who was under a heavy anointing. We believe all who read these solemn prophetic warnings should take diligent heed to them. "Believe in the Lord your God, so ye shall be established,- believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper" (II Chronicles 20.-20 KIV).

Great darkness is coming upon the countries that have heard My gospel but no longer walk in it. My wrath shall be manifested against all ungodliness. It shall come with great intensity. My judgments are literal, and not a thing to be lightly passed over. Before I visit the nations in judgment, I will begin at My house. When I do cause My wrath to come upon the cities of the world, My people shall be separate. I desire a people without spot or wrinkle, and such shall be preserved by Me in the time of My wrath coming upon all iniquity and unrighteousness.

I am going to prepare you for the coming days by a hard path that will cause you to cry out continually unto Me. For when the going is easy, men do not seek Me, but rejoice in a temporary blessing. And when that blessing is removed, they so often turn this way and that way, but do not come to Me. I am showing you these things that you may seek Me continually and with great diligence. As you seek Me, I will open up truths to you that you have not seen before, truths that will enable you to stand in the last days.

 

Coming Glory and Deceiving Spirits

When I visit My people in mighty revival power it is to prepare them for the darkness ahead. With the glory shall come great darkness, for the glory is to prepare My people for the darkness. I will enable My people to go through because of the visitation of My Spirit. Take heed to yourselves lest ye be puffed up and think that you have arrived. Listen to the messengers, but do not hold man's persons in admiration. For many whom I shall anoint mightily with signs and miracles shall become lifted up and shall fall by the wayside. I do not do this willingly; I have made provision that they might stand. I call many into this ministry and equip them, but remember that many shall fall. They shall be like bright lights, and the people shall delight in them. But they shall be taken over by deceiving spirits, and shall lead many of My people astray.

Hearken diligently concerning these things, for in the last days shall come seducing spirits 0 Timothy 4:1) that shall turn many of My anointed ones away. Many shall fall through divers lusts and because of sin abounding. But if you will seek Me diligently I will put My Spirit within you (Ezekiel 36:27). When one shall turn to the right hand or to the left hand, you shall not turn with them, but keep your eyes wholly on the Lord. The coming days are the most dangerous, difficult and dark, but there shall be a mighty outpouring of My Spirit upon many cities; and many shall be destroyed. My people must be diligently warned concerning the days that are ahead. Many shall turn after seducing spirits; many are already seducing My people. It is those who do righteousness that are righteous. Many cover sins by great theological words, but I warn you of seducing spirits who instruct My people in an evil way.

Many shall come with seducing spirits and hold out lustful enticements. You will find that after I have visited My people again, the way shall become more and more narrow, and fewer shall walk therein. But, be not deceived, the ways of righteousness are My ways. For though Satan come as an angel of light (II Corinthians 11:13-15), hearken not to him; for those who perform miracles and speak not righteousness are not of Me. I warn you with great intensity that I am going to judge My house and have a church without spot or wrinkle when I come. I desire to open your eyes and give you spiritual understanding that you may not be deceived, but may walk in uprightness of heart before Me, loving righteousness and hating every evil way. Look unto Me, and l, will make you to perceive with the eyes of the Spirit the things that lurk in darkness, that are not visible to the human eye. Let Me lead you in this way that you may perceive the powers of darkness and battle against them. It is not a battle against flesh and blood, for if you battle in that way, you accomplish nothing. But if you let Me take over and battle against the powers of darkness, then they are defeated; and then liberation is brought to My people.

 

The Way of Deceivers

I warn you to search the Scriptures diligently concerning these last days, for the things that are written shall indeed be made manifest. There shall come deceivers among My people in increasing number, who shall speak forth the truth and shall gain the favor of the people, for the people shall examine the Scriptures and say, "What these men say is true." Then when they have gained the hearts of the people, then and then only shall they bring out these wrong doctrines. Therefore, I say that you should not give your hearts to men, nor hold people's persons in admiration. For by these very persons shall Satan enter into My people. Watch for seducers 01 Timothy 3:13). Do you think a seducer will brandish a new heresy and flaunt it before the people? He will speak the words of righteousness and truth and will appear as a minister of light, declaring the Word. The people's hearts shall be won; they will bring out their doctrines, and the people shall be deceived. The people shall say, "Did he not speak thus and thus? And did we not examine it from the Word? Therefore he is a minister of righteousness. That he has now spoken we do not see in the Word, but it must be right, for the other things he spoke were true."

Be not deceived, for the deceiver will first work to gain the hearts of many and then shall bring forth his insidious doctrines. You cannot discern those who are of Me and those who are not of Me when they start to preach. But seek Me constantly, and then when these doctrines are brought out, you shall have a witness in your heart that these are not of Me. Fear not, for I have warned you. Many will be deceived, but if you walk in holiness and uprightness before the Lord, your eyes shall be opened, and the Lord will protect you. If you will constantly look unto the Lord, you will know when the doctrine changes, and you will not be brought into it. If your heart is right, I will keep you, and if you will look constantly to Me, I will uphold you.

The minister of righteousness shall be on this wise: his life shall agree with the Word, and his lips shall give forth that which is wholly true, and it will be no mixture. When the mixture appears, then you will know he is not a minister of righteousness. The deceivers speak first the truth and then error to cover their own sins, which they love. Therefore, I exhort and command you to study the Scriptures relative to seducing spirits, for this is one of the great dangers of these last days.

I desire you to be firmly established in My Word, and not in the personalities of men, that you will not be moved as so many shall be moved. I would keep you in the paths of righteousness. Take heed to yourselves, and follow not the seducing spirits that are already manifesting themselves. Diligently inquire of Me when you hear something that you have not seen in the Word, and do not hold people's persons in admiration, for it is by this very method that Satan will hold many of My people.

 

The Way of Triumph

I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly, that you may triumph where I triumphed. On the cross I triumphed over all the powers of Satan, and I have called you to walk the same path. It is when your life is on the cross that you shall know the victory that I have experienced. As you are on the cross and seated in Me, then you shall know the power of the resurrection. When I come in My glory, the principalities and powers in the heavenly places shall be broken. Fret not, for I have given you power whereby you may tread down the powers of darkness and come forth victoriously. It was on the cross that I triumphed over all the powers of the enemy. My life shall flow through you as you enter into these precious truths. Look unto Me, and appropriate My life. As your eyes and desires are toward Me, and you know what it is to be crucified with Me, then you shall live, and your anointing shall increase. It was not in My life that I walked upon the earth, but it was in My life when I was upon the cross that I openly spoiled principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15). I am showing you truth that shall cause you to overcome, to have power over the wicked one-truth that will liberate you and those around you. You shall know also the fellowship of My sufferings. There is no other way whereby you may partake of this heavenly glory and reign with Me. "If we suffer, we shall reign with Him" (II Timothy 2:12 KJV). I desire to make these truths real within you. As you keep them before you, you will liberate many who are in bondage. You will have revelations of those in darkness and will have the keys to liberate the captives. Many seek to liberate, but they have not the keys. Upon the cross continually you will know the power of My resurrection that you may also partake of My glory. As you are willing to walk with Me and rejoice in your sufferings, you shall partake of My glory. Look unto Me, for ye have need of power to overcome the wicked one and the bondage in other lives.

If you will indeed judge yourself, you shall not be judged 0 Corinthians 11:31). As you seek My face and desire to be cleansed by Me in all truth and sincerity of heart, I will judge you in the secret place, and the things that are in the secret place of your heart shall not be made manifest to others. I will do it in the secret place, and no man shall know it, and the shame that shall be seen on many faces shall not be seen on your face. Therefore, in love and mercy I am instructing you, and, therefore, have I said that if a man judge himself, he shall not be judged. It is not My good pleasure that the shame of My people be seen by all. How can I judge the world if I judge not first My own house? Hearken unto these things I am telling you. If you will not hearken to Me, your shame shall be evident to all.

 

God's Part and Our Part

I would have you consider My life on earth-the anointing upon Me was great. Yet the temptations were great on every side, in one form and then in another, offering Me first the glory of the kingdoms of the earth, and then reviling and persecuting Me. There will be great glory given to My people, and yet the temptations shall be intensified from every side. Think not that with the glory there shall be no temptations or persecutions. The glory to My church shall be great, and so shall the temptations from the enemy to turn My people from My paths. I am warning you that when the glory shall be manifested, the temptations shall be great, until very few that start shall finish. First, there shall be offered them great worldly possessions, and then great revilings and unbelief.

Consider your Lord, that as He walked, so it shall be for you. There shall be need of great intensity of purpose. At times, everyone shall rise up against you, simply to turn you from the course that I would put you on. It is written of Me that I set My face as a flint to go the direction My Father had prescribed for Me Isaiah 50:7). If you will finish the course the Lord has laid down for you, you will have to set your face as a flint with great determination-you must walk in the course laid down for you. Many of your loved ones and those who follow with you shall persuade you and try to turn you from the course. With many words that seem right in the natural will they speak to you. Did not Christ rebuke Peter, who would turn Him from the course God had prescribed? (Matthew 16:22, 23)

Understand these two things and meditate upon them solemnly: the persecution and the darkness shall be as great as the glory, in order to try to turn the elect and the anointed ones from the path the Lord has laid down for them. Many shall start, but few shall be able to finish because of the greatness of grace that shall be needed to be able to endure unto the end. The temptation and persecution of your Lord was continuous. He was tempted by Satan in many forms throughout His entire life, and even on the cross when the ungodly cried out, "If thou be the Christ, come down from the cross." Think not that there shall be a time of no persecution, for it shall be from the time of your anointing unto the end-difficulties and great persecution to the end. The Lord must prepare you to be an overcomer in all things, that you may be able to finish the course. The persecution shall increase, even as the anointing shall increase.

In paths of judgment and righteousness shall the Lord God lead His people and bring them into that place which He has chosen for them. For the Lord has chosen a place for His people, a place of righteousness and holiness where He shall encamp round about them, and all who will be led of the Lord shall be brought into this holy place, for the Lord delights to dwell in His people and to manifest Himself through His people. The holiness of the Lord shall be manifested through his people. Let the Lord lead you in difficult places. He led His people of old through the place where no man dwelt, where no man had passed through- in a place of great danger, and in the shadow of death. The Lord will indeed lead His people through such places, and yet He will bring them out into a place of great glory. Understand that the way toward the glory is fraught with great danger, and many shall fall to the right or to the left; many shall camp on lesser ground, but the Lord has a place of holiness, and no unclean things shall dwell among His people.

Put your trust in Him, and He will bring you into a place of holiness. He desires to bring His people into great glory, the like of which has never been seen: what the Lord will do for those who put their trust in Him. It is a place of darkness and great danger that separates His people into the place He would have them walk in. He will protect them from the voices that would turn them from His path. He will bring them through the dark places, and through the treacherous paths, out into the light of His glory. He will rejoice greatly over His beloved, and cause you to be filled with joy unspeakable. He seeks to lead His people into a new place of grace and glory where He will indeed encamp among them. Put your trust in Him, and He will surely bring you into this new place.

Fear not the days to come, but fear this only: that you shall walk in a manner pleasing to the Lord. In this time I am ordering and setting up My church, and it shall indeed be pure, without spot or wrinkle. I will do a work in My beloved that has not been seen since the foundation of the world. I have shown you these things that you may seek the Lord diligently with all your heart, and that you may be a preserver of His people.

Run not to this one nor to that one, for the Lord has so ordained that salvation is in Him, and in Him alone. You shall not turn to this shepherd, or to that one; for there shall be a great scattering upon the earth. Therefore, look unto Him, for He will indeed make these things clear to you. You shall not look here nor there, for wells that once had water shall be no more. But, as you diligently seek Him, He shall increase your strength and your faith that He may be able to prepare you for this time that is coming.

The truths that I have revealed to you must become a part of you, not just an experience, but a part of your very nature. Is it not written that I demand truth in the inward parts? It is the truth of the Lord expressed in your very being that shall hold you. Many shall experience the truth, but the truth must become a part of you-your very life. As men and women look upon you, they will hear not only the voice, but see the expression of the truth. Many shall be overcome because they are not constant in My ways, and because they have not permitted the truths to become part of them. I am showing you these truths that you may be prepared and having done all, to stand.
